In Memory of a Brave Soldier, the Late Hussain Adam (20)

We salute our young hero,
Died while fighting against the enemy,
Hailed from Kulhudhufushi in the north,
With the hope for a brighter to-morrow.
Joined the military to do his national duty.
Happened to be in the forefront,
Facing invaders' onslaught with brutality,
Fought until the last bullet.
Then became helpless inside his post,
Unable to escape or get help from outside.
Aimed by the enemy firing from the coast,
Fell down on the ground,
There Hussein lay bleeding.
He died as a brave solder.
Defending his country, from those invading.
His sacrifice signals, a new inspiration,
For today's youth, with a determination.
